Open Play Night is a relaxed gathering designed for players who are comfortable with the basics and want more time at the table. There’s no formal instruction, just tiles, friends, and a little healthy competition.
Whether you come with your own group or arrive solo, you’ll be seated at a table and rotate as needed. It’s the perfect way to:
All materials needed to play will be provided: tiles, racks, mats, and everything in between. And while this isn’t a structured class, I’ll be there throughout the evening to answer questions, clarify rules, and offer guidance if you need it.

Spill the Tiles Mahjong was created out of a love for the strategy, connection, and community that Mahjong brings. Founded by Laurie Beth, Spill the Tiles is dedicated to sharing the game of American Mahjong and building a welcoming Mahjong community in the New River Valley.
